Klaus gives him a small smile before coming over to give him a hug. "I'm not saying it's not going to be a pain in the ass, but...but I dunno. I think you'll figure something out to make it better."

Hesitantly, Shiranui allowed himself to lean into the hug. Admittedly it felt nice. He was used to always having to keep a wall up and not appear weak.

For the moment Shiranui didn't have to put up a show. He was grateful for it. He knew it wouldn't be used against him.

Klaus definitely isn’t the kind of person to use someone’s weakness against them. They’ll just hug Shiranui for this moment.

“It’s gonna be okay, buddy.”

He didn't realize how much the adjusting to the ship was taking a toll on him. Trying to get used to the new way of things getting used to people interacting with him and seeing him as an individual. It was nice being able to rely on someone else. After a moment, Shiranui pulled away blushing slightly.

"Thanks...I'll figure it out and get used to everything here. It's a lot for an outdated guy like me to take in." Shiranui stated.

Klaus gives him a big smile. They notice the blush, but decide against mentioning it because...there's really no point in making them more awkward. Unlike when Nobunaga does it and it's very important to Klaus to tease him about it.

"Ehh. We're all outdated to someone, right? Like, there are definitely people from the future here and I'm sure me and my 2019 knowledge is infantile to them." He pats his shoulder. "Just like...be kind to yourself and mindful of those moments where you might get carried away again? And Valdis will come around. Just give her time and think, 'what would Nobunaga do' and then do the opposite of that."

"Sounds like everyone uses Nobo as an example of what not to do. He really has no sense of boundaries and what's appropriate," Shiranui stated smirking a bit. He gave a nod in regards toward Valdis.

He decided it was best to move to a different topic wanting to end things on a more lighter note. "Speaking of outdated...Where does one get new clothes? I could use some new clothing that's not torn and ragged from fighting."

Klaus laughs softly. “I love him to death, but sometimes he’s stupid. He’s figuring things out.” He looks around almost as if he’s looking to see if anyone is there listening even though he’s knows they aren’t. “The secret is to tell him that only the sexiest, scariest people do something you want him to do and that he’ll be corrupted by purity if you don’t want him to do something else.”

This is just a random knowledge Klaus has. “But also be firm with him about boundaries. He’ll listen. If you need to, use me as a method of Demon King taming. Also don’t tell everyone my secrets.”

There’s a sort of brightness as clothing is mentioned. “Tommy Bahama is really the clothing place to go to! Do you mind colors?”

"I won't tell anyone what you said," Shiranui replied in a somber tone.

"I really don't know. I've only done dark colors and mostly black. As long as it's not bright colors, I suppose I would be okay."

Klaus gives him a look and pats his shoulder, "Ooooooh, buddy. Do I have bad news for you." They squint, trying to think of the clothes. "Well, we're going to have our work cut out for us, then. Cause....wow. Okay."

....Shiranui gave a resigned sigh. "Alright...let's go and see what you're talking about."

He didn't realize that this was going to be a big ordeal.

Klaus looks at him quietly for a moment before gesturing for him to follow. "Are you super worried about wearing specifically clothes in the men's section or? Cause there's some nice flowy pants in the women's section. And really...they're only gendered because people are...well...weirdly obsessed with gendered things."

A beat. "But there's some things you could make into other things if you wanted!"

"Uh, I suppose it depends. Western clothing is pretty new for us.

I think it's better then the kimonos we were wearing." Shiranui explained.

"Let's go and see what you're talking about."

Klaus shrugs. They know that it can be fun to wear all different kinds of things. It's just that the women get flowier pants. And they like those ones the most when he's in the mood for it.

"Oh? Are you more of a flowy clothes kind of look or tight? A mixture? I'd let you try the crop top that Ava and I share, but you're a lot more muscle-y than either of us and it's hot pink, so you wouldn't be a fan."

But yes. To the Tommy Bahama!!

..."Nope. No pink for me. I really don't know on what I like with clothing." Shiranui stated.

"I didn't know there were different kinds."

He followed Klaus to the store and couldn't help but make a face at the bright colored clothing. This might end up being a disaster.

"Disappointing, really, but okay." Not everyone likes bright, painful colors.

There's a beat. "Give it and me a minute." They pull out a pair of linen pants in dark blue and black. Then there's these pants. Also this shirt exists.

"You just have to look a little longer."

...Shiranui gave a nod of approval and looked a little relieved by the choices. They were simple designs and not bright.

Reluctantly, he started to dig around as well to see what he could find.

Most of the things are brightly colored, but there’s some black or at least darker colors. Klaus doesn’t mind being loud when it comes to fashion. “If you find stuff you like, there’s dressing rooms if you wanna try them on in private. To make sure everything fits the way you like.”

Shiranui gave a nod. "Alright." He was trying his best to stay away from stuff that had a lot of buttons are appeared to be complex in putting everything on. He had a small armful of possibles. Mostly still in dark colors, but some had a few lighter shades. He also tried to stick with stuff that had short sleeves or no sleeves at all. He stopped to show Klaus what he had picked out before going to the changing rooms to try everything on. He really only wanted at least two or three different outfits at best. If he needed more clothes for later...then he would get those then.

Klaus smiles a little, looking at more things. When Shiranui picks out some stuff on his own, they can't help but be proud of him. He'll wait to see how he feels about the clothes. "If you want to show them to me for an opinion, I'll sit close by."

For the most part Shiranui didn't have any problems changing into the new clothing. It was the buttons he ran into an issue with. Buttons were a new concept that came with the western clothing. At least the shirts he had only had a few. For the most part he didn't get to crazy with the choices he picked. He tried on a pair of jeans and a black shirt with flowers over it that reminded him of the wrap he wore with his current outfit. He left the scarf off and boots for time being. The boots often took a bit to take off and then put back on. He stepped out for Klaus to inspect. Klaus might find the buttons not aligned properly.

Klaus smiles a little as Shiranui steps out. They step forward. "Hold on a moment. Let me...fix this." It's a warning that there's about to be touching in a way so that he can stop them if it's going to be a problem. If not, then he'll just carefully fix the buttons.

Shiranui gave a nod acknowleding that it was okay for Klaus to adjust the problem. He appreciated the fact he asked first before automatically fixing things. "Did I mess up the buttons?" Shiranui questioned.

"We never had them before until the western clothing started to arrive at my country."

Klaus shrugs. "Just a little. But we can work on that with time. Buttons get a lot easier with practice." They smile a little.

"I never realized how new buttons were for people, I guess."

"We usually used obis, or knotted stuff." Shiranui explained. "I like alot of the western clothing. It's better then wearing the many layers of kimonos I used to have to wear."

Shiranui did find he liked the jeans alot better then the trousers he was wearing. He still wasn't too fond of having sleeves, but they weren't as bad as wearing something long sleeved. He still kept the arm bands he had on. "Is there anything I can wear aside from boots and sandles?"

Klaus doesn't really know that much about Japanese fashion outside of Nobunaga's armor and the frustrating pants that he's finally figured out. "Huh. I mean, that can be fun, I guess?"

They hum thoughtfully, considering it. "You can probably find tennis shoes? Or just not wear shoes? This place is...weird like that." A beat. "Also we can alter these however to make them better. The shirts and whatever else."
