[They are momentarily frozen, just staring at her. They know that the concept of presents isn't new and that they have gotten presents from people before, but they also weren't really expecting anything, always certain that people don't really notice them.]

O-oh. [It's not much, but the surprise is still there for a moment as they look at the flowers and the box. Things are a little blurry for some reason that they aren't really noting as the fact that their eyes are watering.]

Thanks. [Still not much and his voice is very soft, like if he speaks any louder he might disturb something.] I...I didn't get...you anything. [Womp, there goes the guilt. Which means he has to find something now or else. For their own mental state. It's fine, eventually there will be a kit for fancy hot chocolate.]

Uhh...to having people want to give me gifts. [He laughs awkwardly.] Most of the people that did are still on the ship and then... [Wait. They catch onto that last bit.] You're not? Are you sure? Oh goodness. I don't even have the claw machine here or Tommy Bahama.

They're...well, I knew about claw machines before the ship, but not about the Tommy Bahama. The first are like luck games where you try to get stuffed things or something else. Though, the one on the ship had a gun and a dead lizard, too...Ava almost shot my arm off cause the gun dropped and went off...so that was...something. [It's fine. No one was harmed in the situation of this claw machine adventure.] I had to slip out of my shirt cause I got stuck on the machine...

And the second is just this weird beachy store with truly hideous shirts with hideous patterns, but sometimes they had snowglobes and self care stuff.

[There's a shrug at her question.] Usually people don't like me. Back home. But that's usually because I fucked them over. I haven't really been doing that here.

[Don't mind Klaus' general flustered vibes. They're not used to taking compliments still about anything that's not their appearance. So someone basically telling them they're valid and worthy is enough to make them feel awkward. They are fighting against the urge to cry, though, so none of the rest of it is being hidden very well. After a moment of composing themself, they wave it off like it's not just made them quietly fidget and stare off into the distance for potentially too long.]

Oh yeah. For sure. Love gifts. Fuck the haters...or whatever the kids are saying.
